Currently he is the Principal of Communications Miracles Consulting (CMC), LLC, Sedona, Arizona. Using miracles as a metaphor, CMC and clients co-create communications that elevate and transform the experiences that employees, customers and partners have with organizations. Through consulting, training and coaching, CMC develops and communicates vision-and-values strategies that deliver intercultural collaboration, global business, holistic performance, and creativity/innovation effectiveness.
He was the Director of Communication, BR Consulting, Inc., Sedona, a global brain-focused, holistic health, and self-improvement educational innovation company. He specialized in media relations, marketing advice, community outreach, American culture interpretation, and global business strategy. His clients included a retreat center, yoga centers, acupuncture clinic, health websites, well-being publisher, ethnic restaurant, martial arts, and special events.
He headed the Visionary Strategies Institute LLC, Washington, DC area, which provided services for expanding the human competencies of managers and specialists, worldwide. He did consulting, training and speaking in the areas of global and local management, business development, marketing innovation, intercultural communication, and Japanese culture and business.
He was Director, Professional Education, for the Professional Education Programs and Institute for Global Management, University of Maryland University College (UMUC), Adelphi, MD. He developed and supervised innovative face-to-face and online nondegree courses in leadership, project management, e-commerce and strategic planning for UMUC clients worldwide.
For a decade, he was Executive Director, UMUC International Business and Management Institute, Tokyo, providing customized training programs for 12,000 managers and specialists from 65 countries for 20 global Western and Japanese clients. In many countries, he trained in business development, marketing, project investment, and intercultural communication. He has trained, consulted and lectured for IBM, Akzo Nobel, Disney, Verizon, Qantas Airlines, Toyota, Nissan, Matsushita Electric, NEC, Itochu, Sumitomo, Marubeni, Nippon Express, Yokohama Rubber and Fuji-Xerox.
He was Associate Professor of Marketing at New York University and University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he also directed International Corporate Relations. He authored Marketing and edited The Roots of Marketing Strategy. He contributed more than 80 articles regarding marketing, distribution, management, Japanese business, and social responsibility.
He earned Ph.D. and MBA degrees from The Ohio State University, and a BS from Drexel University. He completed training programs in interpersonal communication, group leadership, holistic healing, and power brain method.
His interests include traveling the world, hiking amid beautiful scenery, exploring ancient sites and sacred spaces, cooking creatively, singing inspiring songs, dancing with energy, collecting Southwestern art, writing poetry, playing word games, and reading historical novels. |
